As I understand it, it was very gradual. He’d have pain in his eyes, but this being a relatively new symptom, only eyedrops were used to relieve the pain. After some time, he lost his peripheral vision (like a horse w/ blinders).
After that his tunnel vision narrowed. Now it’s just blurs.Lutein may have helped…
One silver lining is that his optic nerve is still attached, so perhaps one day….

My little brother sadly went blind a few years back. Scary as hell!
My eyesight is cruxial to me, as I spend much of my day internet surfing, so my advice: TAKE CARE OF THEM!
I take lutein, eyedrops, an eyelid cleanser, screen breaks every 20 mins, and set fonts to 125%.

B12, E, D, Lutein for the eyes, Omega 369, CoQ10, and magnesium and probiotic to stay regular.
I avoid Vit C (read that it oxidizes iron, making it even harder for cells to expel) and Iron!
FA is basically your cells going to rust, so no multi for me.

I use a simple Oral-B design. Brush head is dual. It’s great!
-
I do. Recommend wool socks. Sleeping in bed with a heater is a no no! Also, I like to warm my feet up with a hairdryer.
-
Yes. I often get my burgers or sandwiches cut up and use a rubber/foam fork. A similar spoon for cut-up noodles!
I also use a food tray. It’s great! Much better than the often inaccessible table.

Thanks Shandra! The stove/house analogy helps alot. Do any of these therapies help to repair the damage already done directly? I mean suppose you do manage to put out the flames of FA, you’re still left a burnt house…

I prefer a mix of the two! Floor to ceiling vertical bar with a lockable T bar.

So long as yoo exercise it off, can’t see the harm….

Coffee in the mornings is a must for me. Wakes me up for the day!

Wired for me. Ihis one rocks: https://www.amazon.ca/Basstyle-TH-5001-Professional-Headphones-Monitor/dp/B01N1ULEEH
Comfortable, lock-able wire, and oh so durable!

I like listening to audiobooks during chill times and in bed. A great way to fill in those idle moments!

My brother, worse off than me, suffers this too. He wears these flat hand swim paddles. Botox too.

Same for me. I take Magnesium, drink plenty of water, eat a high fibre breakfast bar on days I hope to go, and always. have porridge for breakfast zapped by my careaids. An apple too. Hope that heLps!
Also consider switching probiotics… “Align” is great.

I wear them. Have been for years ever since I noted that my feet were starting to curl. They’re really helpful! Plus the added weight of the plastic helps root your feet to your chair’s footrests.
Add on a set of ankle weights, swing out the footrests, and you’ve got a leg extension exercise. Great for my thighs!

I use eyedrops every night, use an eyelid cleanser, and take lutein. Also follow the 20-20 rule! Every 20 minutes, take a 20 sec break from the screen.

Ah cool! I mght just be adding another to my mix.
I used to go to the gym back in college (years ago) and always took a protein bar after.
-
Uh, what are BCAAs? I take a score of supplements daily (Omega, Magnesium, B-12, Vitamin E & D, Lutein, and CoQ10), but that’s new to me.

Long (20= Hr) fantasy novels mainly. Audible.com rocks!
