Working From Home
With National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) here during a global pandemic, what are your pros and cons of working from home with FA?
I currently work from home because my office is not handicap accessible (old building with no ramp) and because of the current state, the world is in.
My Pros – convenience, I don’t have to worry about the stress of using a disability transportation service, getting more rest since I do work shift work, and my husband and I see more of each other.
My Cons – my employer is not thinking of my accessible needs, and I don’t have a set and active regime.
At the end of the day, I love working from home and am thankful my employer is ultimately thinking of my safety. How about you?
