Introducing children to disabilities and inclusion is important. It teaches them at a young age about acceptance and the power of representation.

A young woman with Spinocerebellar Ataxia – Type 1 has a blog and shares her experiences living with SCA. Her recent post discusses the importance of teaching about disabilities to children.

Do you agree that exposure and inclusion are the keys to understanding and acceptance?

What an insightful post! I do think exposure and inclusion are huge!! My youngest son is much more compassionate and aware of others because he is around his older brother with FA.
