First FA symptoms
My son who has FA recently had vocal surgery. The first symptom of FA we noticed was trouble with his voice. Are voice issues something that your loved one suffers with? If not, what was the first symptom you noticed?

Being unable to walk in a straight line. In a hallway I would start in the center and veer into a wall. But I didn’t get diagnosed until 6 years later. No voice problems until much later.

It is interesting how everyone presents differently. My son didn’t get diagnosed until a few years after his voice issues began. It can be such a long process! Thank you for sharing your story 🙂
