The month of July is known as Disability Pride Month. July also relates to the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
There is a Netflix documentary film called Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution that connects a Catskills summer camp to American disability rights activism starting back in the 1970s. This must-watch film is a great introduction to disability history and disability rights activism.
Did you watch the documentary? How did it make you feel? If you haven’t seen it yet, do you plan to?
