In my latest article, I address what it feels like as a caregiver to deal with unaddressed trauma. One of the most traumatic days in my life was the day I first heard the words Freidreich’s ataxia. I tried so hard to be strong for my son and family, but I just wasn’t able to carry this heavy burden alone. How have you been able to address the trauma of your loved one’s diagnosis in your own life, and have you been able to find ways to cope?
