I have a friend with FA and over the last year I have seen her rapid deterioration. I am really struggling with her erratic behaviour – is this part of FA, I’ve researched and I have found that it’s not supposed to affect cognitive behaviour but I am starting to think that it really does. She was diagnosed some 30 plus years ago so she is in the very advanced stages and I would like to know if anyone is going through the same o has experienced similar. Thank you

I was also diagnosed about 35 years ago although I knew something was wrong about 43 years ago. Right now, the most challenging thing I face is bladder control and speaking. I get really upset when people cannot understand me. FA is a very frustrating thing to deal with and I believe every has different emotions about it.
