I remember the first time we met another FA family in person when my son Noah started his clinical trial at the University of Florida. It meant so much to us to meet someone else who understood what we were going through! Give a shout out to the first FAm you met after your loved one got diagnosed and tell how it made you feel.

First FAmily member I met was at a 5K grassroots event. I was newly diagnosed and at college in a different state, away from family. I wanted to learn more of FA and meet other members so I could feel understood and “at home”. The FAmily who was hosting the event welcomed me with open arms and we’ve been close every since for 9 years!
