Lisa Marie Basile is a health journalist, editor, and patient advocate. She has written for The New York Times, Medscape, SELF, MDLinx, Medical News Today, Sleep Foundation, HealthCentral, and GoodRX, and other outlets. She is also a chronic illness advocate and has served on Health Union's leadership council and moderation team. She has a Master's degree in writing and is a certified Patient Leader, spreading awareness and knowledge about chronic illness.
