Last week was the International Ataxia Research Conference (IARC) held in Washington, DC. The meeting covered FA and other ataxias. Topics discussed included the molecular basis of the disease to potential therapeutic treatments and clinical trials.

Did anyone and your families attend? What were some of your overall reactions?

    I attended.
Was super cool: over 400 attendees, 300 posters, and I was not the only FA-parent 🙂
Met old friends, made new friends.
Reata was there! Working on the next steps for Omaveloxolone.
    New research, check out OSA.
Gen therapies for FA going strong,

@bart-jan that’s great! It seems like this year’s conference was definitely a hopeful and positive one 🙂

Bart-Jan, how did you find out about the conference? I live in the DC metro region and would have loved to participate.
