My daughter Ainhoa, 16 yo, was diagnosed last june 2016 after a genetic test. She is compound heterozygotes for GAA expansion and 1 exon deletion. She had surgery to fix her 80º scoliosis and is recovering fine, slower than other patients. Currently, she still walks and leads a normal life but complaints about not controlling her legs, nor feet and imbalance.
