Birthdays and FA
This upcoming Monday (8/24) is my 36th birthday. Growing up, I always used to look forward to the special day, being a new year and a fresh start. But since I received my FA diagnosis 15 years ago, my perspective has changed.
As years pass, I am reminded more and more of my disease’s progression and how different my life continues to become. I thought that time would make it easier to handle FA, but new challenges and obstacles always seem to arise all the time.
Do you have the same perspective on birthdays? Has your perspective changed since being diagnosed with FA?
