Thank you for the recommendations, Danita! I read Kyle Bryant’s book and loved it. I’ll have to check out “Living the Decision!”
That sounds very interesting, Nelda! I’m sure it will still resonate. Thanks for the recommendation. Is it titled “How Lucky?”

MemberAugust 18, 2021 at 10:21 pm in reply to: Motivational Monday – Ability to Help OthersI have a friend whose children have SMA. She was a help to me in the early days of my son’s diagnosis of FA. It is such a gift to find people who can really understand. I hope to be able to do that for others as well!

My son’s voice issue was his first symptom of FA. He saw an ENT and had voice therapy. It didn’t help. He was diagnosed a couple of years later with FA. His voice is very hoarse and it affects his quality of life. He is scheduled to have implants put in his vocal cords next week. Praying it will help 🙏🏻

We got a placard for my son. In Alabama, where we live, it was cheaper and you could get 2. So helpful!

It is interesting how everyone presents differently. My son didn’t get diagnosed until a few years after his voice issues began. It can be such a long process! Thank you for sharing your story 🙂
