I believe its not about midweek meditation (which may be a good start). Its about daily meditation. Taking time to breathe, focus, clear your mind, watch your thoughts, be grateful,…
I do daily meditation since 3 years in the morning and it changed my perception on life completels. In my eyes meditation is the key for a conscious, reflected, happy, healthy life no matter of the outer circumstances. One can start with books about it to get an idea.

I use cannabis oil to relax my body and mind. It helps my sleep and can have some other positive effects like lowering spastic or depression.
I have never smoked, not a big fan.Who else takes oil?
