Prognosis vs. FA reality
Although earlier this month marks the 5th anniversary of a dear friend of mine who had FA and recently passed away, it never gets easier as time moves forward.
In light of that, I’ve been thinking a lot more about the prognosis that was given with my FA diagnosis versus the reality I’ve lived with for the past 15 years. I was told there is no cure or treatment and my future would be unknown. Now, there is a treatment, and I am living my life fully, and I am left feeling very hopeful with all the ongoing research.
The reality of living with a chronic illness with no cure can be overwhelming. However, I think it’s good to contemplate it from time to time.
What about you? What was your prognosis? Did you live to exceed it? What do you think about that? Maybe, in sharing, we can strengthen our perspectives.

I am convinced there will be a cure and I will live a full life and FA will not be the thing to take me out. Skyclarys helps me a lot. I have huge faith in DT-216 and the Falcon study.
