How has your definition of feeling “fine” changed over time?
When people ask me how I am doing and/or feeling if I haven’t seen them in a while, I tend to say “I’m fine.” This is a lot for someone who isn’t really “fine.” Sometimes it’s easier to say that than to go into detail about what I am currently experiencing with FA.
I feel as though it is a standard answer to what is little more than the standard greeting of “How are you?” to someone on the outside who fully doesn’t understand what it is like to live with Friedreich’s Ataxia.
Has your definition of “feeling fine” changed over the years? What keywords prompt you to say how you’re really feeling?
