  Hardwood floors or carpet?

  In my apartment, I have hardwood in the living room and carpet in the bedroom. I prefer hardwood because it’s easier to walk on a flat surface. But then if I fall, carpet is softer to land on. Does anyone else run into this issue and what do you prefer?
