• Friendships with FAers

If you are an FA patient, think of the friends you surround yourself with most. Are they people who have FA themselves or not? Do you think the understanding of a friend who has FA sets them apart from a friend who doesn’t have FA?

I don’t have much freinds and to be honest I don’t mind but the one I do have is battling CP (cerebral palsy). Our diagnosis is different but we relate alot to each other.

I know CP has really random symptoms, like FA. What are some of the symptoms you can relate to with your friend?

The ones I can relate to him are the hearing, spasms in the legs and battling a illness daily. We lift each other up when we get together and chill. We relate alot to feeling lonely and I admire his motivation to talk and meet people.
