People with FA have different strategies for building muscle strength and exercising. Some may add supplements or vitamins to their routine.

Do you take any vitamins or supplements when working out? Do you have any other strategies for building muscle strength?

We do a combination of CoQ10 (200 mg/day), Vitamin E (450 mg/day), and NAC (900 mg/day) for energy levels. Definitely thinking about adding a post-work out recovery drink for my daughter, who experiences a lot of post-work out recovery discomfort.

Good to know! I never looked into NAC, but I am now and going to ask my personal trainer at the gym about it!

I stick to supplements that support general health rather than muscle gains specifically. Vitamin D, magnesium, and occasionally omega-type stuff. For strength, slow resistance work and plenty of rest make a bigger difference. If fatigue spikes, I dial everything back. Trial and error over time taught me that.

I do the same, and it truly makes a difference!
