To be completely transparent, my diagnosis changed everything. Relationships, friendships, my confidence, my future plans etc. But it was also the biggest filter to figure out who my true friends were.

I noticed over time, I wouldn’t be invited to places or included in certain things. Most of the time, it came from and uncomfortability of talking about my situation or worrying about accommodating my new needs.

It sucks but it happens 🤷🏻‍♀️

My true friends stuck around, put up with my stuff, were willing to listen to me, donated to FARA, came to events and always supported me. For that I am grateful. Forever.

Have you noticed any significant relationships in your life that have changed since your diagnosis? Has your diagnosis made any relationships stronger?
